Take the GradeUP! Challenge

Grade Up Logo - jpeg-revEvery Student Starts with an “A”

In every college, at the beginning of each semester, every student, in every class starts with an A. It’s what a student does during the semester that determines whether they keep that grade up or lower it. The goal of the College in Four Years GradeUP! Challenge is to keep the A.

The final grade in any class is not an event; it is a cumulative process – class assignments, projects and exams performed successfully. You have to be able to access information then process and apply it to achieve the results you desire. Working hard to achieve those results may not be enough, to succeed in college and in life, you also have to work smart.

Working Smart Means:

  • Knowing how to access and assimilate the right information;
  • Managing your workload by setting priorities  – including knowing when to work and when to play;
  • Effectively monitoring your academic progress – including grades, GPA and progress to graduation so that you can make adjustments that keep you on track.
Working smarter is what GradeUP! is all about.

How To Participate in the The GradeUP! Challenge

Through April 30, during the full spring semester, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’ll give you a GradeUP! Challenge – two every week. Each challenge is an easy to accomplish tool/tactic/technique that you integrate into your prep and study routine with the goal of staying on target and on task in all of your classes this semester. Just accept each Challenge and you’re well on your way to keeping that “A.”

GradeUP! Because College is Not Something You Do Alone

After teaching and mentoring more than 10,000 students I’ve learned a few things about getting through college successfully. I know that with the right support, preparation, information and motivation, any student can earn a college degree. I also know that college is not something you do alone, you have to tap every resource – seek and accept the advice and counsel of those committed to your success.

That is why I launched the GradeUP! Challenge, to give students who want to improve and excel free access to tools/tactics/techniques that will help you earn grades that lead to graduation and great jobs. I wrote, College in Four Years: Making Every Semester Count, for the same reason and the challenges in GradeUp! are based on lessons from the book, what I call “Takeaways,” in College in Four Years. If you want to know more about a specific challenge, I’m adding a reference to the chapter in College in Four Years that deals more extensively with that topic.

If you don’t yet have College in Four Years, during the GradeUP! Challenge you can purchase the book for $14.99 (normally $19.99), a special 25% discount. I’ve set up a special College in Four Years storefront that will only be open during the Challenge. It is the only place College in Four Years is available for $14.99.

To get the discount enter the code BBQ86MXV at checkout from the special College in Four Years GradeUP! Challenge storefront. Use this direct link to the storefront.

If you prefer an eBook, click here to purchase if for $9.99 on Amazon.com.

GradeUP! Keep the “A” you started with. Remember, the goal is graduation.
